For summer we present a new collection of watercolours by landscape painter Stewart Edmondson.
Stewart works outdoors in all weathers, drawing inspiration from the unique sense of the rural locations he works in, from Dartmoor to the Cornish coast, and constantly pursuing the idea that meaningful painting comes from an alchemy between artist and place.
Painting 'en plein air' and allowing the elements to affect on the outcome of each image, he lets his instinctive approach to mark and colour respond to the light and energy of his dramatic surroundings.
