Overview
Painter Ben Taffinder was raised on Cornwall's beautiful Roseland Peninsula. He studied at Falmouth College of Art and began his career as a sculptor and installations artist, working as far afield as Iceland and Taiwan. Now focused on drawing and painting, his work explores Cornwall in the familiar context of his family's coastal farm and his professional role as a fisherman and diver. Using colour, pattern, contrast and powerful compositions, Ben works with impasto pigment and a palette knife to create insightful and intense works of art.
