Overview
Richard Holliday completed an apprenticeship in stonemasonry in the 1980s and began his career working on architectural projects, specifically structural and ornamental stonemasonry at Westminster Abbey, Kings College Chapel and Ely Cathedral, later moving on to large scale public artworks commissions. Now based in West Cornwall he works full time as a studio sculptor, creating distinctive figurative, semi figurative and abstract works, using mostly British limestones, and drawing on his extensive experience, skills and profound knowledge of the discipline of stone sculpting.
